Vehicle Description 1988 C1500 standard cab short bed for sale.
Truck was bought new by my dad in '88.
I purchased it from him in 1990, and daily drove it until I did the frame-off build on it in '96.
Truck has been 4 miles since '96yes 4.
It's been featured in Truckin' and SportTruck magazines.
Truck was originally a 4.
3 truck with a 5 speed manual, now has a healthy 358 with aluminum Brodix heads and a NOS 250 kit.

Tranny is a completely rebuilt Muncie M-22.
Truck has a lightweight clutch setup that allows the engine to rev very, very quickly.
Tilton hydraulic clutch setup.
Lots of chrome under truck as well as in engine bay.
99% of all fasteners on truck are stainless allen head.
Lots of detail.
Truck was built for show only, and was transported around the Southeast in an enclosed trailer to many World-Of-Wheels indoor shows and select outdoor shows.
Have many awards including best paint, best engine, best truck, etc.
Has won the coveted Best Ride on BFG' s award, which is a billet aluminum trophy hand built by Boyd Coddington himself.
Fresh 18 front and 20 rear Billet Specialties wheels and Hankook tires, for an updated look.
Also have a set of Budnik wheels with BFG'S from '96 if we can come to terms.
Truck is lowered approximately 7 in front and 10 in rear.
Lots of custom work on truck including smoothed firewall, filled gas door, stake pockets, and caddy tail lights.
Paint is excellent for a 25 year old paint job and still has excellent luster and depth.
Frame is a deep maroon metallic to go with interior.
Suspension and steering among other items are done in a bright silver metallic.
Frame is smoothed.
Rear axle has been smoothed.
Steel roll pan molded into bed.
Bed floor has been cut out and replaced with 3/8 plexiglass to reveal chrome and paintwork done underneath.

Hate to sell, but it's been out of the basement twice in the last 23 years and it's time to let her go.
